As a PR executive, being an expert at prioritizing a big old pile of tasks and to dos is not just part of the job - it’s essential. I’m also a type A personality, and would really prefer it if I could just control everything. So, it really bothers me, that I cannot control time. No matter what I do, I can’t stop it. I can’t fast forward it. I can’t rewind it. But - I can do everything in my power to manage it. I even help mentor and teach others how to learn this skill. If I ever get a super power, it will be to control time! I guess you can say I’m a little bit obsessed with time. So, when my Alexa shared with me some time saving apps, you bet I paid attention. Now, I’m sharing them with you!

Microsoft’s To Do

  • I had no idea this existed, but it integrates with your existing Microsoft email, and will automatically move any flagged emails, or highlighted copy within emails - or tasks - to a to do list.

  • For someone who gets upwards of 500 emails a day, this has changed my life!

2 —

Google Photo App

  • I knew about this one, but I didn't realize all that it could do beyond making sure your photos are backed-up.

  • Your photos will be searchable (I no longer have to search through 1000s of photos to find my favorite head shots, because I never remember to put them in albums!)

  • You can do these cool animation things (it can search all photos of my cat binxley, and then turn it into a video. whhhhaa??)

  • I'm sold!

Evernote

  • Another one I've heard of, but didn't realize the potential or the power...

  • I love being able to take pictures of my random snippets of paper that I jot down ideas on, or take audio notes, or photos of receipts, or do spread sheets, etc. etc. etc. all within the same app!

  • It's pretty darn cool.
