I cracked the sleep code

Sometimes I forget the days when 3:38 AM was a regular bedtime. Lying awake, the world in silence, but my thoughts racing at a mile a minute. Desperate - I would try anything to get even a few hours of sleep…Tried the ice-cold room trick, blowing bubbles (yep, that's a real suggestion), even listened to ASMR videos with the sound of bacon frying! And who can forget breakfast for dinner - because apparently, pancakes at night equals sweet dreams, right?

But no matter how quirky the method, I'd still find myself staring at the ceiling, my mind racing with every little thing: Did I reply to that email? What did I say to her way back in 1997? And seriously, when does my passport expire? It was like my brain refused to take a break when the world did.

These days, sleep is a peaceful escape, not a frustrating battle. Waking up feels rejuvenating, a complete turnaround from the groggy mornings I used to know. The snooze button and I are no longer BFFs. (Wonder if it misses me??)

It feels surreal that after more than 40 years, I finally cracked the code. Let's just say, the solution was unexpected, but the difference it made is undeniable.
